“Play is a child’s natural form of self-expression”
Healing Together
Welcome to Healing Together!
We support children, young people and families to strengthen their connection, explore identity, relationships and work toward emotional and psychological healing, through the use of play and expressive therapies.
We use a variety of evidence based interventions to support their healing, including Therapeutic Life Story Work™, play and expressive therapies.
How do we do this? By connecting together, being curious together, playing together and thriving, together!
Services we offer for Children and Young People
Child Centred Play Therapy
Child Centred Play Therapy (CCPT) is a non-directive therapeutic play-based intervention that allows the child the ability to communicate what they experience in their inner world, allows children to express thoughts, feelings and ideas about who they are and how they see themselves, through the use of play as a way of communicating..
Filial Therapy
Unlike other therapies, Filial Therapy sees the parents as the change agent to work with their child or children, to work through challenges that they might be experiencing, encourage children’s ‘healthy psycho-social development’, and to strengthen connections within the whole family. Filial Therapy is very effective in teaching parents how to play, connect and attune to their children.
Therapeutic Life Story Work™
Therapeutic Life Story Work™ is designed to support children, young people and adults to better understand and make sense of their experiences in their lives. It has been subjected to independent research and validated as an evidenced based narrative model that has excellent outcomes for traumatised children, young people and adults.
Groups
Groups are available for your child or young person to participate in, which explore personal identity development, how to navigate safe relationships,
